Default Hey NY Bowhunter (& other Cayuga Co. Hunters).......

.....any deer up there this year???? Just curious what your results/thoughts are this year. After last year you said the deer pop was way down. I'll be in Owasco this weekend at my buddy's place. Hope they left some for me (they got 2 buck and 5 doe - their pop seems ok). Happy hunting.

I live in Owasco and I can tell you that there are still plenty of deer. I see them at my house all the time. The harvest so far according to my butcher has been unusually light this year. He is down a couple hundred from last year. I just harvested a six pointer in the town of fleming on the 6th and have been seeing a lot of deer lately in the town of Throop. Good luck to you when you when you come up. Where abouts in Owasco out of curiousity?

I was hunting on Skillet Rd with guys from work. I don't normally hunt there but was invited and got lucky. They harvested big eight and nine pointers this year.
