Default Wiped Down the Gun

I wiped down my gun yesterday after sitting in the rain from hunting in NJ.

Anyone else take care of their guns? I've had the same 12 guage for almost 20 years. Looks brand new. I'm not one of those guys who purchases a new gun just about every year.

I used to just stand them by the fireplace but it got expensive replacing the wooden stocks and forearms.

I've had my gun for 24 years and it looks every bit of it's age! I bought a new one about 8 years ago and it just sits in the gun rack! I can't stand to part with the old boy! I will take it apart and clean it well at the end of the week! Ill brillo off the rust and give it a coat of paint before I put it away for the summer!

I had some frost on my shotgun last Saturday, so I wiped the exterior down with oil and buffed it with a silicone cloth. Usually I'll just leave my hunting guns inside the mud room or basement to slowly warm back up, then wipe them with silicone when I put them away.
