Just wondering how many Pa. hunters regularly hunt other states ,especially big buck states in the midwest ??? I was shocked when I started hunting other states. The first time I went to Iowa I kept thinking when we entered the state, not many trees ,my goodness what do they eat or where do they hide. The first morning I was sitting in a large wood plot 5 acres.Surrounded by 1000 acres of corn. Seen over 40 doe and 20 buck. Now wait a minute I was always told it is impossible to have lots of doe and buck and big buck like I seen. When I got home I was excited and told other hunters and they called me a liar. They said impossible. Then a guy said dont believe you and cant believe you wasted your time driving 5 or so hours south to Iowa.LOL
Might just hunt NY next year! And might be planning a hunt in Montana if I can squeeze the finances. Might skip Pa hunting all together next year.

I've hunted WV for about 5 of the past 7 yrs. As soon as I get out of school and get myself situated, I will start broadening my horizons further.
In PA and WV, buck season is a circus. Rifle hunting around here has become more of a stress creator than a refuge.... In a dream world, I would get a piece of heaven in Missouri and build a little camp there.
Sure, I'd like to shoot a booner buck but it wouldn't be the same getting it out of state. I'd like to get a nice one in my home hunting area. That would mean a lot more. I did hunt the Northwest Territories once but that was because I couldn't find any caribou in PA.
