My wife and I were driving south on route 206 yesterday just outside of Bedminster.... a huge buck (at least an 8-pointer with thick beams) ran across the road. Luckily we did not hit it, nor anyone else. The buck was all by himself. It was around 1:15 PM (after the stormy rain and wind).
Yeah yeah yeah... I know I know... I am full of crap. No way. It was the biggest buck I have seen (live...not on tv or in magazines or in a cage or on a wall) this year...and definitely top 10 over my entire life.

About 7 years ago I saw the biggest buck of my life (in person) on someone's lawn off 206 in Princeton. I thought it was a lawn ornament until it moved. They get real big when they can't be hunted.
1. Closter, NJ at about 12am near the resevoir. Massive 8 or 10pt with baseball bat tines
2. Old Tappan--right around the corner from my house at 4.30am as I was leaving for hunting. Massive non-typical scoring 150+
3. Old Tappan--my backyard last CHristmas. Massive 10pt scoring 140+
DO you see a pattern????
