Default Chemung,Tioga and other Counties question

I hunt Chemung and Tioga counties the most.I've never been able to rattle in a buck.I've heard buck fighting during the rut.
How has your luck been rattling in deer?I'm just wondering if the doe population has anything to do with it or if I'm not rattling long enough.I normally rattle for 1 minute or less. Thanks for any replys.

Default RE: Chemung,Tioga and other Counties question

I haven't done it much and have had no success. I did just buy a rattle bag for convenience. I think the buck doe ratio right helps. I have read that a rattling session should last about a minute or so and make it sound like the real thing (even scratching the leaves, etc.). Then wait 20 - 30 min and rattle again.
