Default Jersey Hunters

Just wanted to see if I could rack your brains a bit. Fellow Jersey boy here.. well former, family is still there in Bergen CTY and I've been here in NH 20 years. I am finally coming home to hunt over Thanksgiving weekend and had a few questions. How do you believe the action will be in Zone 4 area by that weekend? How is the deer population in that area in general? I just picked up the bow again after a long abscence due to shoulder surgery a few years ago. I am very confident out to 25 yds and hope to have 30yds by time I come down. All depends on how much wear and tear the shoulder will take and how much practice I get, as muzzleloader starts next Sat here. If I stay at 25 yds should I get some coming in that close? I will be hunting from around 15 ft up as that is what I have been practicing from. Up here the deer are not as plentiful and due to thick woods during our bow season we often do not have a chance to shoot much beyongd 20 yds unless set up on powerlines. Any insight is deeply appreciated.

I hunt Zone 2 and there is now buck sign around but no one has been seeing the bucks. Looks like the rut is near and everyone is talking about late next week/1st week of Nov. I would think that Zone 4 will be good this weekend as it has always been a great Zone to hunt. Are you hunting State land or private? The leaves are falling like crazy but there is little acorns near our club.
