I'm going to be heading to Ellicottville next week. Any info that a "flatlander" would need would be appreciated for Bow Hunting that area.

Never been there to hunt, but they have a heck of a good rodeo there every summer. Anyone who lives that way, stop by and ask for Chumley, I work for the stock contractor.

A Flatlander is someone who sees nothing but field and corn! LOL! No mountians or big hills. Pretty much makes up Illinois.
I'll be just little N.W. of Eville. A friend has a few acres there and invited me up.

I was called a "flatlander" once by an old man when he saw my Jersey plates on my truck. I was buying a hunting license at a Bob's up near Binghamton.

Rebel1018, I have hunted and traveled many a time through Ellicotville NY, and depending where you hunt in that area, make's the difference! I have hunted just off 219, and it was all hillside. Basically, the main road(219), winds through the valley, and most of your hunting is done on the hills. I do know this, there are some awesome deer too be had in Ellicotville, not to mention some good turkey hunting!!!!!! Good Luck with your hunt............

Every time I got there, I end up in the bars...GREAT town. We had a great time at fall fest this weekend.

Rebel were are you coming from? If your coming down 219 stop in wallmart in springville they sell licenses in the store. If your coming from some other way you might have to go one town over (little Valley) town hall. Rich
