Went deer hunting yesterday with 3 of my friends, I saw 4 different bears, my 2 other friends saw 2 of the bears, and my other friend saw nothin.
Commissioner Campbell states NJ doesn't have as many bears as we did in years past. Well were I hunt I always see bears, but to see 4 different bears in a given day tells me we have to many still, if not more then what NJF&W would like us to know.
my son saw a bear in one of my tree stands,i saw him later on the roadside just checking things out.He was a very healthy 2-3 year old male about 300 lbs.big fat face,Hope this seasons bear hunt happens

saturday was opening day for the deer zone I hunt, hunted with 3 of my friends, we saw no deer, just bears, and a coyote. One friend agrees with me, its early the deer are there its only a matter of time they start roaming around. The 2 other friends, its there 1st year hunting with us in this area, they say too many bear, and coyoties, are keeping the deer away. I tried to tell them that either one isn't going to scare off healthy deer, this area is to vast, and deep. Seems to me and my other friend that we find that opening day we either see no deer, or very few, by the 2nd or 3rd week things pick up. We tried to explaine to them that this isn't new, but they want to give up already.
ALL I SAW WAS BEARS IN NEW JERSEY !!!!!
