Default NJ Dove Hunting

How come we cannot dove hunt in NJ? Are they studying them or something? I see they are classified as migratory birds.

They migrate from one side on my lawn to the other.

It's really amazing. It seems when a dove crosses East over the Delaware river something magical happens. It somehow transforms itself from the #1 gamebird in the country to a songbird.

Seriously, there is no sound scientific reason why we aren't filling our freezers with them.

I used to hunt them when I lived in PA several years ago.
