NJBowman, I'm not talking about you, I'm referring to the guys in your first post. Dont you guys up there have laws that protect hunters from harassment? It just seems silly to me that a group of grown men will go to the extremes that you stated, just because somebody has the right to hunt a 10 acre lot.

We initially had problems in 1994 when we leased land in Zone 2 b/c the "locals" claimed it as their own. We had poachers/stolen stands/intimidation/etc but it eventually stopped. We actually caught one of the guys when his truck got stuck in the mud so we called the state police. Eventually it stopped as we werent going away and the owner of the property talked to the neighbors on our behalf.

The funny thing was when we tried doing QDM and approached the neighbors who thought that we were lunatics! So much for that although we tried for a season.

Good luck and stay strong.

corruption in NJ ...no way. it really pisses me off to hear about people trying to intimidate other hunters like that.

cat don't let them run you out of the area if you have permission to hunt. just take a video camera to the checking station to get the public servants on tape if they give you any crap. if you get damage to your truck set up your camera in the brush to get that also.

i'd take a buddy with me just in case.
