Default Seasons OPEN!!!!!.........for me anyway!!!

Talked to the farmer who owns the land I hunt about a crop damage permit this year (he had done one last year). He said he wasn't gonna bother cause it was a pain. Well the DNR mailed him the paperwork and permits without even asking so he didn't have to do anything and the season is now open for me!!!!! I'm pumped!!!!!

I apolagize if this makes anyone jealous but na, na, na, na-na!!!!!!!

I'm on the list for crop damage permits on 3 farms--one here, one in Cecil Co, and one in Garrett County. I went out only one time last year and didn't shoot anything--could've, but didn't. This year, I have yet to go . . . yet. It's been too hot and I want the fawns to be at least weaned .

adams, you're gonna love this, my bow is in the shop. I thought I had two months before the season so I took it in. It's been a week and a half so it should be just about ready. I called and left a message to see if she can hurry it up a little.

Don't worry, I'll be out there as soon as I can. I've got this blow down in a field that all these deer are traveling by. I'm gonna take my Dad out there so he can watch me shoot a doe, he's never been bowhunting before and he's a little old to now but he's really excited.

Thats awsome!!!!!!!! I hunt a farmers land. He has said that the deer just walk thru and bite half and ear of corn off and mess up alot of his profit. I will ask him if he wants to open an early season

i hunted crop damage for the first time last year, it was real cool, it was 4 of us in tshirts and shorts, sitting on bean fields with high powered rifles. not real hunting but it did give me a chance to practice my long range shot, I normally dont get to take 200-300 yard shots so it was good practice. the only problem is if you shoot one you have so little time to work with as far as getting the deer cut up and put away (we dont have a cold box) we also had the problem where some of us only saw bucks, never thought id complain bout that!!! the other dilemma we had was whether to shoot the does that had fawns with them, we opted not to, even though some people said they would be ok, we didnt chance it.
