Default NY CROP DAMAGE PERMITS - REVISITED

Well...finally was able to get some firm details in writing. Going tomorrow night and prospects look really good. Lot of houses near by so in order to get the required 500 feet there are only a few places we can sit but I think we'll be allright.

Anyhow here's the poop....right off the permit:

Standard Conditions (these stand unless other options are checked off on front of permit)

1. all local and federal laws must be followed.

2. not authorized to trespass

3. Permit may be renewed or revoked at any time by dec.

4. Agent must cary a copy of the permit (as well as carcas tag) while hunting.

5. Antlerless deer only.

6. Agent must possess a valid hunting license, hunter ed cert or safe firearms training

7. Agents must be 18 or older

8. Shooting hours are from 1/2 hour before sunrise until 11:00pm (lights allowed)

Also there is a checkbox for "no handguns or bows". This isn't checked on ours so we can use rifle, bow, shotgun, handgun or muzzleloader. I've never shot one with my bow or muzzleloader so I may try it.

That's the bulk of it. Not too bad.

I'll let y'all know how we do!
