I'm wondering if theres bears there how many?

i'm moving there and I am wondering

i am just north of there in Madison County, going to college. I havent seen any bears around here, but i have only been out in the wild once at Chittenango Falls Park

I've camped in Chenango, lovely park. Anyway, didn't see any bears, just skunks.

I wouldn't worry too much about them. Watch you bird feeders in the spring and fall, keep your garbage in the garage, keep your grill clean, watch out for outdoor pets and you'll be all right. I had one here in the Poconos the other night, tried to get my rabbits but it didn't get that far.

i live and hunt in chenango county (30 years) and have never seen a bear or sign of a bear. that is not to say they aren't or won't be there. they are becoming more "common" in southern & southeastern Broome Co. we aslo have neighbors at our hunting camp that swear to have seen a bear - i'll believe it when i see it.
even if there are/is/were bear in Chenango Co., it wouldn't be anything much to be concerned about

There are 3 bears there: Pappa bear, Mamma bear and Baby bear....
