They should stop dropping sometime in the next few weeks. Mid May is usually a pretty safe bet. TGK

Usually late May through early June. I am looking forward to getting one on my game cam this year.

I know pelts wouldn't be prime but it seems like this would be a great time to set up for coyotes with a fawn distress call.
Anyone here ever tried it?

BTB-
Yes, now's a good time to call in 'yotes using the fawn bleat, but the debate there is that the coyotes have little ones of their own. Killing a mother coyote is an ethical issue, 'cause then you have a litter of pups that are going to starve to death. Coyotes are common, no question about it, but I'd have a hard time knowing that there's a whole bunch of youngsters that would starve to death if you shoot Mama.
In most states though, there's nothing illegal about it if you could live with yourself. []
