Thanks for the post. I'm going to put in for this. I'm going to try and hunt many new places this year. This would be one on the top of my list. Planning on going out next year every second I can!
I sent my dues in last week as I let it expire, just an oversight, but as soon as I get my new confirmation I will sibmit an applacation. Thanks for the info, greatly appriciated.
how does a private organization get exclusive rights to hunt a federaly owned piece of land? i hate paying anymore than i have to and in the hunting world it just keeps getting worse. your saying i have to pay to join an organization just to hunt something we all own. i would like to see organizations like the nj bowhunters and the federated sportsmen of nj use there powers to lobby for things like hunting on sundays and the re- vamp of our permit for everything license system. just dont think the deal is fair to all but at least its open for hunting.
thanks for explaining a little about what the UBNJ is up to and im sure its all good. as hunters and outdoorsmen we need to stick together on issues but i just dont think by me paying your organization a membership fee it will justify myself being able to hunt a federal piece of land while others cant. i hunt fort dix but dont have to join the fort dix rod and gun club to hunt it if you get what i mean.if they need someone to run things for the hunt thats a different story but i think you should allow applications from all. good luck with the membership drive and keep us informed on the other issues.
the 18.50$ from what i understand is an access permit. this is to pay for office people to sit there all day long and to log in and out the hunters and fisherman. also usually free coffee and doughnuts the parking areas are maintained, grass cut, and fields are planted. i get alot for my 18.50$ and still dont have to join a club.

LO,
Ft. Dix doesn't fight for your hunting rights like the Federation and UBNJ. If you are not a member of both expecially in this political state it's a shame.
