Default NY lifetime license

Anybody have one of these? I am moving to California on the 21st of this month, so I'm gonna fill and send out my application tomorrow. It will pay for itself in just a few seasons, when I'm gonna be paying non-res to hunt here. Its cheaper than I thought. Only $250 for big game, and $125 for archery.

Smart move. I think the prices are going to go up soon too. He will definitely think about you. Way to be a good dad.

Yup, I should have bought one when I returned from Vietnam. I've been buying Non-Resident licenses every year since. Lets see, 30 plus years at from $75 a year to now $250 plus turkey a year. Shazaam... seems like I could at least get a &quot;Frequent Visitors&quot; rate. Then when I lost my hunter safety card(obtained in NY.... they don't have records going back that far)<img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>

P.S. Can you still use a lifetime license even if you reside out of state... because they don't have a non-resident Lifetime.

david,

If you want to buy the license, you must be a resident of ny and show two forms of proof. After you buy it, you can move out of state, and still use it just like a resident license. I am moving to California on the 21st this month, and I figured I'd better get it now, or pay non-res the rest of my life.

Just a warning guys!
Ny life time is great but if they don't your correct address it will not forward to you.
Be sure & get a phone # so you can make sure of the right address for a year or two or if you end up moving again.
My nephew went through this.
Missed all doe permits & first 3 days of 2001 2002 season.
Because he moved and called them but they never updated like they said they would.

Hunting is nature.
It is our nature to hunt.
I'm not a hunting fanatic just a hunting addict.

My parents live at the address, so I shouldn't have a problem, even when I do move.

I bought the lifetime Sportsmans License for my son before he turned 12. $350. I didn't buy the archery stamp because one can add it at any time. I prefer the Sportsman as it includes big and small game, as well as fishing.
