We got this picture today at work. The message said that this female coyote (it was confirmed by the PA DNR) weighed 115# and was shot near Friendsville, PA. To me it looks even bigger than that and also looks to be more "coy-dog" than coyote (rather wide, short snout and looks "dog-like"), but the PA game commision says coyote. What do you all think.

I've seen that pix on 2 different websites - most of the guys that have responded called it a fake. The ones that did think it was real seemed to agree that it wasn't a coyote. Some sort of mix w/ wolf or dog.
Yeah I saw that on a different forum too. They seemed to think it was a fake or a hybrid wolf/yote of somekind. I don't know myself, but I do know I'd drop a load if I saw that thing.

If that thing is real, its one big ol' yote. I wouldnt mind seeing a few of them myself. Im sure the pelts might go a little extra.

ITs true, the story was in the Wilkes Barre times leader yesterday. I agree its a funny lookin Yote but ???????? There arent any mountain lions in PA either
