Default Looking for local area in Pa for venison

I live near Harrisburg, Pa. I am looking for a local meat merchant that is selling venison. I haven't hunted in five years, due to personal reasons. I miss having deer meat, and do wish to know of any one that has the permit to sell vension in or around my local area. I prefer deer meat over regular beef any day. Can anyone help me out? Thanks

rose63,
You should have posted this WAY earlier. I bet some successful hunters would have been glad to give you some venison.

I don't know what the law is in PA, but in Maryland you do not want to be caught selling wild game! Ever thought of cruising the roads and picking up a roadkill? I see lots of them whenever I travel through PA.

Look up some butcher shops in the yellow pages, they may be able to at least tell you where you could get some. Good Luck[8D]

As PAhunter86 said, most butcher shops have meat that nobody picked up. Give them a try.

You should first ask around alot then even look in your newspaper and when you find a place go to them and drop your deer off...
