Default Deer Hunting results from Central Maryland

I am curios to know how everyone fared during this past hunting season in central Maryland this year. I haven't had much opportunity to hunt this year with working six day's a week & taking care of the farm in my spare time. My 16 year old son, Dan did get a nice 8 pt. during his final youth hunt in Carroll County. See picture below. How about it, any Maryland hunters wanting to share their success. Thanks, G. H., New Windsor, MD

Welcome aboard Homer and a big hearty congrats to your son on the awesome buck. Work also prevented me from getting out but about 3 times this year, saw a few nut tagged nothing. Did your son take that buck on your farm?

Actually he got it about 200 yards from our pasture on the neighboring farm. Thanks for the complment. He (Dan) has turned into a really fine hunter. Here's one from last years early muzzleloade season. 9pt. 160#)

Those two bucks definitely look like they're related to each other. Congrats to Dan!

Things started out slow for me. I did get a half-racked five point with my bow. Took a small doe during the second week of shotgun season. Things picked up in ML season...shot two does on the first and second days of the season and a real nice six (would have been a seven but the tip of his main beam was broke off) point on New Years eve. Hoping to get out tomorrow for one last hunt for the season.
Good luck to those still hunting.
