RE: PA Deer Season (firearms) over, how did you do?
I scored on tuesday, with a nice doe , and yesterday ( the last day) i took another doe on the last drive of the day , she came down wiht one other doe that my friend dropped, and proceeded to run a fenceline right to me and i put her down with one shot of the .270 .On the first push of the day , 18 deer came down to me, and a big halfrack , but even tho im a Junior license holder i am tryin to let them grow big on the family farm. After christmas tho i will take the flintlock out and go to allegheny county and look for anything with horns. So far ive only got wo baldies. But listen to how out of whack PA is with buck to doe ratio. I saw 36 deer yesterday , and 2 of them were bucks, halfrack was nice , and other looked good but didnt offer a clean shot as i was doing the push. I hik they should give us an antlerless tag with our buck license , and let us purchase extras from there , anyone else think that is a good idea?

I only hunted our camp on Dec 9th and 10th. I saw a bear and 8 turkeys. I saw a couple of deer but couldn't get a decent shot. The other guys out of our camp accounted for 2 does and an 8-pointer. This is Sullivan County.

Eight point and two does in archery. Rifle season, took two does, one of wich was with my smoke pole. Didn't see a whole lot of deer here in sw PA, but I made out ok any way.
RE: PA Deer Season (firearms) over, how did you do?
We killed them, and what's left ran into the thickest cover you could imagine at the first scent of us. I dare anyone to tell me that deer hunting public land is better now than 10 years ago. The insurance companies won, the tree growers won, the politcal hacks on the PGC won, and PA's deer hunters lost.[>:]
