Default MD 2nd rut?

I saw on another board where some guys are seeing evidence of the 2nd rut taking place right now. I know that the few bucks I saw couldn't handle the tremendous number of does in some of my area in the first rut, so I kind of expected it. Anyone else seeing this?

I hunted the last day of rifle season today and saw two bucks, both of which were traveling in two separate groups at least 10 does. I also saw 4 or 5 does this evening with their tails up as they walked, indicating that they might be in estrus. Doesn't it figure?!? No gun season for a week until the late muzzleloader comes in next Saturday! [:@]

To me, that's great! I'll give them most of this week to calm down a bit, then head out friday evening for a bowhunt. I'd go earlier, but I have to work all week.

It doesn't really matter to me one way or another, 'cause I won't be able to hunt until after Christmas anyway. Good luck this Friday Dave.

My buddy who lives in Calvert County shot at a buck that bed with a doe in his yard (wooded) late last week. A buck meandered through the Addison Road metro stop yesterday or the day before (15th or 16th). There's an article on Drudge this morning...
