That's a nice looking buck. We have killed some decent deer this year, including an 8 point and two 7 points, but none as big as what we killed last year. There are some good bucks up there, but ever since the main rut took place back in mid-November they haven't been seen.
Here's a pic of the 7 point I killed during rifle season on 11/29. It would have been an average-sized 6 point but he has a 5 inch point stemming from his left brow tine.
Happy hunting,
Jim

Hey guys, meant to reply earlier but I've been busy at work. I was on a crop damamge permit earlier in the year and took 3 does before bowseason started. I'm kinda deer hunted out for the season. And oh, I lost those first 3 does in the hurricane, we were w/o power for 6 days, real bad feeling.

My totals (including those) are:

4 does
1 spike (thought was a doe in low light; my bad)
1 9-pointer on 13-Oct (pic included)

Super nice 9 point Solax! His tines look like they're 10 inches long!
Way to go!

Jimbo, not 10", only 9.5" G-2's. HAHAHAHA

I'm really happy with him. I won't get in to the whole story but I shot a 130 class 8 pointer very early in the season. Never found him and he lived only to be hit and killed by a car 2 weeks later. My nephew pulled over to inspect him and said he had a 20-24" spread and the body was well over 200 lbs. I was very upset about this for a month or so, went in to depression and everything. Then this guy walks under my stand and for some reason I cheered right up!!!!! It's my second buck ever (both with bow) and I am very happy with him. Thanks for the compliments.

I can see why you cheered up. That's SOME therapy!

Hi,
I hunted for 8 days during firearm season in Dorchester County. I finally managed to sneek upon this guy. I saw mostly fawns and yearlings and deer came out very late, if at all. Little to feed on in fields.
All best,
Heidar

The deer pictured are pretty nice ones.

I managed to take 2 does and 2 bucks so far, but I still have one tag left and I'm hoping to use it on a nice buck. I hunted with a bow during every season so far and could've shot my limit easily during gun season if I'd had my shotgun with me.

some very nice bucks guys!!!!!

solax, dont get discouraged, if you bowhunt long enough, you are gonna have a couple that get away. i lost one two years ago, ten point, at 8 yards, broadside. hit him right behind the shoulder but low, thought for sure it was a good hit, but 36 hours later and 2 different 5 man grid searches, and came up with no deer. it replays in my mind everyday, but you cant let it get you down.
