I use both. The blind is more mobile and I can take it anywhere and set it up in a few minutes. I have a popup outhouse blind and I have shot deer while sitting in it.

The stand is of course off the ground with a better view. I use home built stands and I' m planning on building another one near where I have a fixed blind. I would say that most hunters I know prefer a stand since you have a better view.

I also belong to a hunting club and the guys tend to use portable stands with wooden ladders.

Both depending on the situation though I find myself using the treestand more since it does give you more of an advantage in terms of a vantage point and shooting lanes. I do love those ground blinds though as well. I have 4 at the moment...a Doghouse, Doghouse TSC, Penthouse and a Hunter' s View Waterfowler blind. They sure do allow for great freedom of movement and can greatly help to reduce how the elements affect your hunt.

All my hunting is on ground due to tree stand accident 8 years ago. Missed a 6 ptr this year at 16 yrds due to bad shot. I don' t use anything except natural blinds but I am investigating a pop-up one.

We use both - depends on the area. We have one stand that takes deer year after year (including one year when it took five bucks) - it looks down a long alley, but generally the crossing point is so close to the best shot perspective, that it really helps to be off the ground.

On the other hand, the second most productive spot we have is a blind at the edge of a field - it' s just a bunch of hay bails set up to make a blind and it makes a great shot.
