Default How' s everyone' s season going in the first week of PA archery?

Started off slow, but interesting saw 2 bears opening evening and had them both at 15 yards circiling my stand, no deer. On monday i saw 4 bears in a entirely different area and 2 fawns. On tuesday i had 2 large does and 2 fawns come out to me i ended up shooting the largest doe and 20 yards, hit her a little back (liver) but she only went about 60 yards.

I' ve been seeing deer each time out. The 2 bucks I watched were not legal to take in my area. Most of the does have been on the small side. The one nice doe never got close enough for a good shot. There is still alot of time though.

Missed a doe on Monday. But things have slowed down. Could be the nice weather. Hopefully Saturday will be a good day.

Looks like a cold front may move in next week. May spice things up a bit.

Saturday pretty much stunk.
Took a big mature doe on Monday, and saw a ton of deer Monday and Tuesday.......had 2 nice bucks on me just before quitting time tonight (Thursday)but no shots.
Cool off........geez it was like 33 degrees in the AM Monday and Tuesday! []
I agree this evening was a little warm.
Will be back at it again tomorrow night.

I' ve had an interesting season so far. Day one I saw numerous does and 3 bucks - two were eight points and one was big but too far away to count points. I hit a twig and broke an arrow on one of the eight points.[:' (] I' d never seen him before. Also missed a doe - she turned sideways just as I let the arrow fly. Second day saw numerous does again. Missed another eight point as he left a scrape. I shot about two inches low. Forgot to use the higher pin as it was somewhat downhill. Saw several does on the third day. And today on stand I seen one doe and another of unknown sex (too dark). Also just seen three does on the hill under our outside light. Must have been wondering where the salt block went! In four days I have learned from my mistakes.......[:-]
