Default Mass ... dedicated sportsmen' s funds being taken away

Subject: Ma. legislators ( unlawfully ? ) repeal laws and take funds from sportsmen

Funds from license fees and special manditory wildlands stamps, etc. that are supposed to be exclusively for sportsmen' s issues are being raided by an unfriendly government.

Default RE: Mass ... dedicated sportsmen' s funds being taken away

This is an outrage committed by the new polcies of Gov. Romney. Speak your mind on this to all in the state government as they need to know that this is wrong. Especially the land stamp program...started and funded by sportsmen only to be taken away!! Ridiculous!

I do understand that some in F & G plan to fight this attrocious move by our state. Show your support!!

I am a bit distressed by the article in the Lowell paper linked here though, as it seems to cheapen the fund as exclusively for stocking of birds and trout, and it is so much more than that. Nothing left for us to persue??? What about wild game and fish?? This is about general funding for programs of research on both game and non game species, including endangered species. It also is about things such as land preservation and ecological conservation which benefits all folks, sportsman and non-sportsman alike. This issue is so much more than loosing hatchery game.
