spent about 5 hours today checking stands and scouting a bit at my spots in the pine barrens here in southern new joisey. man my pants were covered in chiggers no ticks though. i thought they were gonna carry me away! lots of deer sign which is good considering its been so hot out i wouldnt think a deer would want to move much. feels good to get some homework done. another month to go!
Well thats encourageing [:@]. I got all the chiggers to look forward to. I will be out scouting probable monday or even sunday evening. I hope to have good luck finding some sign too. I am in a new area and will have to find some place quick do to bow season starts Sept 6.
