Î own a camp in the 6N zone, but have only been seeing does the past couple of years, and this year in the cams. Pulled a DMP for 6K this year, so would like to find some state land so my son can take his first deer.

For almost 20 years it has been my primary hunting area. Highest deer populations are the fringes of the Hill, but there are plenty of big deer if you have the time to look for them. There is a lot of public access, generally very low hunting pressure. Populations can fluctualte depending on the time of season...if you get a heavy early snowfall, many deer will start to move to yarding areas, sometimes a considerable distance away.
