Default Warren County, New York (adirondacks)

Can anyone tell me (good or bad) how white tail hunting is in Warren County, New York. Have some private land in Chestertown to hunt on. Would appreciate some opinions. Thank you in advance.

Thanks Jerry. I see Warren County is only documenting .7 bucks per square mile. Doesn't sound too promising. I'll have to get up there and scout around to see for myself. I'm planing on hunting there this November. I'll let you know what it looks like. Please keep me informed if you run across anymore information Jerry. Thank you for the help.

Fewer deer in the daks but they're usually bigger with more points.Less hunting pressure helps to.

Where are you located in the Adirondacks Bernie? My hunting property is in Chestertown. I have 115 acres up there. Very mountainous. I'll have to hit the treadmill before I head up there. I'm 51 years old and a little out of shape.

I'm just inside the park in Lewis co not far from the Herkimer co line.Old Forge is about a 20 minute drive away.I also need to get my 54 yr old butt back in shape.I've hunted in Herkimer and Hamilton co some but mostly I hunt near home or go down to my friends camp in Chenango co.

The adirondacks are a whole different animal. I pretty much do all of my hunting up there I have a camp in esex county and my Dad lives in warren. I cant say its bad hunting but hard hunting is definetly the word to use. lets just say it will take a long time to fill the trophy wall. And the amount of land you have doesnt mean much up there as there is so much state land and you will probably never see another hunter. Great for safety bad for deer movement. I hope I am not discouraging you because the shot at an old mature buck is definetly always a possibility. This is the reason I spend most of my time up there even though i have more productive land elsewere. Good luck give em hell. any advise on the area feel free since my dad lives up there we pretty much know the area good.

Default adirondacks

Hello Mike: Sorry it took so long to respond back. I have not been on line for awhile. Anyway Mike, what town does your dad live in? My property is in Chestertown. My land borders an old farm field which is rare up there. I've seen a lot of deer movement around that area. Hoping for the best this fall. Anyway Mike, is it okay to stay in contact with you. You can write me jbuzaiii@aol.com. Thanks.
