Fishing in New Hampshire

Hello,

I've lived in New Hampshire my whole life (24 years.) and have probably fished fresh water, less then twenty times, although I have been deep sea fishing quite a few times, which was ALWAYS fun.

So where are the best Fresh water spots, preferably around the Portsmouth, New Hampshire area?

Are they safe to eat? (My experience in fresh water fishing usually comes from Pickerel Pond, over in Limerick Maine.)

I have a feeling, I'm going to be stuck deep sea fishing, quite a bit this summer.
