Default Early December

Going back to Maryland in early december to hunt the firearms season. Is december a worthless time to continue hunting the rub and scrape lines i found. What should i be hunting, just transitions areas or food?

I wouldn't exactly say worthless because that is around the time that the 2nd rut kicks in. I hunt NJ firearm which begins the 1st monday of December, and have seen scrapes that were made earlier in October-November opened up again in December. Friends of mine have also told me that they have grunted in bucks during that week, although I never have.
