New Jersey's Bear Hunt 2010....Whos Hunting & What Zone?
NJ bear hunt is in 3 weeks during the 6 day deer shotgun week, who will be hunting bears while deer hunting and which BEAR ZONE will you hunt (deer/bear zone are different)? I will be in my deer stand in BEAR ZONE 1, got a few bears coming in
I'll be in 4. I am going this weekend to put out some meat under some logs. I hope I an't to late but 2 are using a ridge I hunt and they are bound to find the bait by the opener. Also I have to hunt in a natural blow down as per the rules if I want to be within a 100yrds of bait. One looks to be 400lbs + so we will see. I am giving up an awsome piece of prop for deer for the opener just to hunt bear. I hope its worth it?
Been checking my cam for the last 2 weeks, no deer, just getting 6 different bears. I guess the bears must be keeping the deer away, so I do hope one of the bears shows up on opening day
I now have a total of 8 bears coming, a sow with 4 large cubs, and 3 males, I would say they would weigh 250lbs., 300lbs., and over 400lbs. With this wind the week of the hunt that will keep the bears from moving, but then with the orange army in the woods and human scent being spread around that can get the bears and deer moving
