Default ma. bowhunters

is every body ready yet? i hunted monday opening day and saw a skipper 60 yards away. ive found quite a bit of rubs, nothing for scrapes. granted i havent walked around much at all. i start vacation on thursday for two and a half weeks. hee haww!!! cant wait. i havent hunted much since opening day, didnt want to ruin my spots for vacation because i know they are travel corridors when the bucks are on the move. how is everybody else doing? many scrapes else where in ma. or rubs? good luck to all the bowhunters out there.

Missed doe Friday, woods are really being torn up by bucks now. Scrapes and rubs all over, but not seeing many deer. Saw trailcam photo's of 4 different bucks, hitting one scrape. Two of them fighting, and all 4 were mature, and 2 were real monsters!....Zones 9 and 10. Good Luck!

Me and my buddy both shot does last friday night. I set him up 75 yds from me in my spot so he could hopefully get his first deer with a bow (the spot is great). At 5:30 3 does popped out of a swamp and started feeding away from us. I shot first at 40yds broadside, smoked her. They took off and 15 minutes later the other 2 circled back right under my tree (10yds) and headed for my buddy, and at 45yds he smoked the other. The both piled up 50yds from where they were shot.

Finally got nice doe Wednesday morning. Was 125 lbs. Saw 4 does, but, have seen only one small buck so far this year. Heading to Maine Sunday, so maybe more bucks around when I get back! Zones 9,10, anyone else have any luck?
