Default Sucessfull NY Youth

I was able to take a buddies youngster and dad for that matter out for their first gobbler hunt and we scored. Matt is 12 years old and he was like having a seasoned pro out there and made the shot count on his first NY Longbeard! 10" beard 1" hooks

That's great. Your son will remember that day with you the rest of his life.

What area did you hunt in?

This was a buddies son and was the first time either of them had hunted turks so it was real exciting, lots of gobbling and strutting they got a vocal treat as we worked birds from sun up to 10 when he dropped the hammer. We were hunting the Finger lakes area south of Rochester. As any turkey hunter know regardless of a kill time spent in the woods with a thundder chicken sounding off is all the fun having a bird over the shoulder on the way out of the woods is just icing on the cake
