Default Tired of your State's declining deer, try Ontario

I've been reading all the comments from hunters about the poor deer harvests in their areas. Maybe you need to consider a trip up to NW Ontario. We offer a small operation which is 3-4 guests per week , lakefront home , all meals included. Old time hunting on Lake of the Woods, Ontario. We use boats to take you out on the lake , away from the road hunters. Just like my great-grandfather did. 3-5 different hunts per day ,(we push so you don't sit in the same spot all day ) shore lunch , also at no extra cost- walleye fishing. late Oct, early Nov . Prime rut . see our modest website www.members.shaw.ca/croutfitters - very reasonable rates . will have a crew up this fall to do a segment for a national outdoors network. thanks for looking, W>

I would never consider hunting canada again after what happened to our Bou hunters that traveled to Quebec last year. Pike

I'm a member of Ontario Trophy Bucks forum, Ontario Out of Doors forum, and Hunting Confessions forum. I see the giant bucks guys get in Ontario and hear about the exciting hunts. I could really get into something like that but just can't afford it yet.

For those of you that wish you could do a trip , please do consider Canada . I admit Pike ,that what went on in Quebec was bad, however we shouldn't paint all game wardens the same color. I've only met one "tough" warden in all my years in the outdoors. Rest have been very polite, just trying to do their jobs- protect our outdoors . If you want to know what it costs for our hunting, email me thru the website, or PM me here.
To be honest my pricing is a little fleaxible based on how many guests, how you travel ( drive vs fly) and the current state of economy. A flashy website costs you more, a table at Harrisburg costs you more. We're just the little guys who offer a family setting, and some very unique hunting.
If you think its Spam, well you know what they say "don't open it" . if you're a Monty Python fan - it's Lovely !

I think I would steer clear of any outfitter using the word " Deception "

Crokit, you're right about the name Deception. my buddy said " are you nuts " . Deception Bay is the old name for our end of the lake. my great-grandfather was the 1st to put a cottage here ( actually the cookshack off a wood cutting barge- but hey- home is where the heart is ) . no roads , 17 mi by horseback, or 25 by barge . So its a way of remembering his foresight- otherwise I'd never have had the chance to spend time on the lake.
Moose Mike - you know your geography - any chance you were one of those PA license plates at the Clearwater Shell in past years ?
