I'm with livbucks, too dangerous to go in that area either way. Stay out of the area, let us put some trailcams up, we'll identify the problem buck(s) and then get back to you.
Year before last, I found a pole on a power line that was being rubbed! One of the large diameter ones too. It is one of the newer smoother type and you can see the rubbing as well as tine marks very easily.
