Default Questions for Rochester area ?

My wifes Aunt lives in Bloomfield,NY. I need to know when Deer season is up that way and what Public land is there to Hunt. I would like to come up there next year about this time with the Family for Vacation. But I need a good reason to go. If I can Hunt, Im in. Please chime in.
Her Aunt sais people hunt behind her property. I dont know if it Public or private.

The deer seasons end before Christmas... The late MZ/bow season, which is NY's latest season, ended the Tuesday before Christmas..

Ain't a whole bunch of public land around Rochester.. Chances are, those people are hunting private land that is locked up tight... Unless you have connections, you are probably out of business in that area..

There ARE some federal/state wildlife areas not too far south of there that might provide some hunting opportunities... Hi Tor near Canadaigua, Oak Orchard south of Medina and Montezuma near Auburn...You might want to check these out..

Lots of public places to hunt in the area, but I would recommend knocking on some doors, great private ground.
