Default Any Grouse????

I have a great puppy and need to get him on some birds,
Any of you guys put up any grouse this fall. Bear hunting, deer hunting or just looking for a hobble bush.

Any clear cuts, or habitat work any one knows of ?

Heard a few and seen a couple on the dirt roads on state game lands 314 while up their steelhead fishing. The Ruff Grouse Society and Turkey Federation have been doing a lot of Grouse and Woodc**ck habitat improvements on this particular game land.

We've been jumping alot this year.In a mixture of young pines and aspen cuts. Also around the wild grapes. My son got three but I can't hit the buggers.
Second season if you can find a clearcut with the buds you might get some out.South facing ridges could be a good bet too.

grouse numbers are way down this year do to rain in spring in wmu2g.
also there is just to much pressure on grouse in last few years.i never saw so many english setters as i have seen in last 3 yrs.
i saw total of 4 grouse this season in clinton for about 2 days a week hunting each week.....

Went on a hunt in early November in the national forest outside of St. Mary's PA. We had over 50 flushes in two days, took 20 shots, and my buddy and I both limited out both days.

I saw a lot of grouse in Sullivan County this year. Mostly around clear cuts and laurel thickets.

I saw some in 4d just south of 80. Nowhere near what it used to be like, saw a few squirrel as well, same thing. The numbers just aren't what they used to be.
