Default Considering move to your area.

Considering a job change to Congo, WV. Does anyone have any input on the value of property ( 50 - 100 Acres Rural ) In driving distance. Also, the tax situitation. In Texas we do not pay state income tax ((we have sales tax). Any major airports in the area ? Thanks in advance for any help or info as I have never been there. Actually, I have always lived in Texas.

Jl...Don't have a ton of info for you...but I live in Ohio, and own a farm in WV.

I would guess that in that area you would be looking at $1,500 per acre to buy land. Just an educated guess...and you might find it cheaper if you are just looking for hunting land. It will also be more if you are looking for good ground. If you look in Ohio toward some of the counties south and west of you...there is some ground that is priced reasonably and holds huge deer.
