Got deer?
Unsuccessful during shotgun in Zone 2, my home territory, did not see many. The ice storm of last year changed a lot of their travelling patterns, and the woods are so covered with fallen trees that many deer are staying below the damaged areas in lower valleys.
Hopeful for muzzle loading season, but now we have hard, crusty snow (noisy) and not any fresh deer sign. Maybe time to move to another area.
I was lucky in NY, got a nice buck, so no complaints here.
Anyone have opinions about high country in W. MA?
