Default Big doe down in NY (photo)

Fianlly got a shotgun deer on the ground. Got this fat girl around 4pm today while still hunting my way through the woods. Ended up the neighbors were out as well, because there tracks were in there...so likely they pushed the deer my away...love it when that happens I'm guessing the neighbor stained his pants when that shot rang out in the woods. We never saw him but his tracks showed he was somewhere! Anyway here's a picture....don't usually get too many big gals, archery or gun season, so this is a big one for us! Slug went through the left shoulder, exited out behind the right shoulder and stopped in the skin/hide. Bloody mess in the shoulders...took alot of cleaning...

Default Good for you

I much rather tag a mature buck like most other hunters but looks like I may end up with a doe ..Not to say theres anything wrong with it ,
Ive also hunted hard and havent filled a tag yet ..
I hunt 2 locatoins in Northern NY and one in Steuben County ..
Well last week and its muzzle loader now ,VERY glad they added it back in for my area ..
Freezers empty , sure to see a flat head ,,
Until last week deer numbers in my area were way down ,on 2 ocations I seen 11 does on one evening hunt and 14 on another ..
Havent seen a buck anywhere since November 19 th ?????
