Some say yes, some say no. I personally think the deer stick to heavier cover on windy days but with the rut coming on all bets are off.

The temp affects more than wind. Our day started slow, but we had a fantastic day. I saw a nice 8 and a HUGE 8. This deer was massive and was walking the perimeter of the valley grunting. He looked like a 140 class 8. One of the biggest deer I have seen on stand. They were grunting and chasing does. Too far for a shot. My future brother-in-law took a really nice 8 with 10 inch g2's around 4pm about a half mile from me. We weighed it dressed at 178. My brother saw a bunch of deer chasing but no shots for him. All the action started for us around 2:30.

The worst part about it being windy it has been very warm! This sucks because then the deer wont move. Today it got to 62* here and I don't even want to know what its going to get up to tomorrow. It sucks because i sweat horrible when its so warm out, I try to dress light but normally this time of year its in the mid to upper 40's not 60's.
