Default Huge bear taken in NY!

Hi folks, yesterday i ran into a friend at a local watering hole who had some pics of a monster bear his friend took with his bow in the central Adirondacks.Though not official until they remeasure after the drying out period it looks to be a new state record.Using a come-along it took several hours to go just 150yds.At that point the thing broke but one of the guys helping managed to get his Jeep back in to drag it out to a pickup truck.I forget the exact weight but it was over 500lbs with a massive head/body.

Next time I see him I'll ask him to scan in the pics and email them to me so I can post them.Even if it's not the new record it's a sight to see.
