Default RE: Anti Bear Bill hearing/ Action needed NOW!

I hope this is the correct info.

Its understanding that the Senate committee sitting on the anti bear hunting bill S1219 will be hearing this bill sometime soon like Mid May. In a time when the state of New Jersey is Cutting funds from Scientific research and Higher education the ARTS and a wide variety of other NEEDED programs that make life in N.J. more livable for PEOPLE and brighter for the future this bill gets to see the light of day! When other states are taking technology JOBS AWAY from N.J. the SENATE thinks it"™s a good idea to listen to the RADICAL ANIMAL RIGHTS ADVOCATES and throw $95K out the Politically correct window! In a state were you have to get a number of shots at cost from the Veterinarian to take your 18 pound SHNOWSER for a walk in public its OK for the TAX PAYERS to keep spending money on OVER ABUNDANT BLACK BEARS a GAME ANIMAL that could be kept in check by hunters who would PAY for the privilege. Oh well Jim Florio had his EGGS perhaps our current Democratic Governor wants to be known for something equally silly spending money we don"™t have on BIRTHCONTROL for a GAME ANIMAL that"™s hunted in both of our adjoining states with viable populations of them. The committee that is going to here this foolish thing is the Senate Environment committee.

Call or email the members of this committee and its primary sponsor Senator Joseph Vitale (732-855-7441) SenVitale@njleg.org and let him know you don"™t think we need anything more than an open season to control bear numbers and that in a time when the state is cutting out research grants cutting out funding for the arts and about to layoff state workers we should NOT be throwing money out the window for problems that would not exist if there were a bear hunting season. The other members of the committee are as follows

Joseph Suliga (chair) Dist. 22 908-587-0805 SenSuliga@njleg.org

Henry McNamara (chair)dist.40 201-848-9600

John Adler dist6 856-428-3343 senAdler@njleg.org

Andrew Ciesla 732-8409028 dist10 SenCiesla@njleg.org

Leonard Lance 908-788-6900 dist.23 SenLance@njleg.org

Bob Smith Dist.17 732-752-0770

Don' t be sitting on your hands you know the ARA' s and anti hunters are calling these guys. Let them know you thinks this is a bad idea and a worse thing to spend MONEY on.

If you want to see what type of trouble you may getting down the road if they close the bear season check out www.ofah.org and go into the archives section, it will make your day.

Has anyone been in contact with the NRA? Are they invloved? I contacted all State offices on the Ill. SB1185 on a weapons ban problem and was told that, either they cannot locate and have no info on this bill, or that they could not do anything at there level. Gotta keep pushing ALL OF THEM!!! Will do everything I can here!!!
