Default wmu 3D - Deer outlook

anyone hunt the 3D area for deer / turkey? I just got a cabin in the promise land area and heard mixed results on the deer population in the area and delaware state forest area.

I don't know how many deer are in the public land, but those large private developments are loaded with them.

Not in Hemlock Farms anymore! They shot 400 deer out of there last year! I have a camp in 3D not to far from you jd771,Pecks Pond. The Turkey hunting is very good in Pike county. The Deer Hunting is tuff but there are some nice Bucks around. If you do your homework and wear down some boot leather you can find some nice deer. Get far from the roads, buy some Topo maps and you will find deer. Bear hunting is great and Duck Hunting is great! Lots of swamps and pot holes, Wood Duck heaven. Try SGL 180,116,209 and of course the DSF. Good Luck

Then they are finally doing something about the over population in some of these places. I was doing a job in one of the private developmentsand the deer were all over the place. During lunch the doe hanging around there got a smell of my apple and surounded me, only one had enough courage to eat it out of my hand. My biggest problem with the HR is theywere not reduced in the right places.
