I switch to flintlock for the late season. It was ice and rain where I was so I passed. On to next year.

A buddy and I went out Saturday and move a bunch of deer for each other and we both got shots but the deer won

It was a good hunt nonetheless. Every day above the dirt is a good one at my age and every day spent hunting is a bonus

Only 8 1/2 months to go

I got out on Monday the 5th and had 4 bucks pass by and was able to arrow a small 6 point. I passed bigger bucks in early archery season, missed a monster in rifle season, and yet I couldn't be more happy with this guy. He was my first late season deer and I got pics of him that morning on my Reconyx.

I seem to remember a compliment I once heard from a hunter I know that has always been wise beyond his years.

Any legal buck in late archery in PA brings one word to mind....RESPECT
