Default Canned pig hunts in VT, ME, or NH..

Looking to take my 15 yo daughter on a pig hunt. Don't want to break the bank but want an exciting weekend. Just as interested in 100 pound pig as a 300 pounder. Anything in MA, VT, or ME?? Maybe even a corsican if they are cheaper.

I think I can bring herto the dark side but she WANTS to see animals!!

I've been to Wild Hill preserve in Fairlee Vt. twice. Very nice establishment, food is great, prices are right, and your daughter will see lots of game. As far as the "ethical" hunting, which i'm sure will come up, that's an arguement for another topic. I took my son for his 13th birthday and he and his friend also 13 loved it. BTW boar makes for some excellent table fare.
google search wild hill preserve for the webpage and all the details.
hope this helps ..........Mike

There is also one over near Amherst maine that a freind of mine hunted a couple of years ago. They sometimes have specials this time of year. I can not remember the name of it so I would have to get back to you on that..

If you don't mind me asking what are you wanting or able to spend? I did a pig hunt in PA once and it cost me $500. Last year I took my son toSCfor his 8thbirthday and we had a blast. The gentleman that owns this establishment is a very nice, down to earth andprofessional. I paid$700 for 2 days withlodging. He does not chargeextra for the kids or if the kidsshoot a hog while with youand you can take2 hogsper sitting, that's 4 a day if you want!I will not get into the age old debate but there was no comparisonon the canned vs. wild hunt and man does he got alot of big hogs down there.

We all know what a canned hunt is and thats just what I'm looking for. I've hunted them before and don't beleive we ever had more laughs.

I really was thinking North and I had heard something about the one in Fairleeand I'm gonna pull them up. I did know there was at least one in ME Phil but did not know the names.

I'll tell you what, those SC pigs look pretty good and it might be a bit warmer. I'm thinking 1200.00 or so for a couple of days and a couple of pigs.

Your right lucky.. they do eat real good!!

Planter I checked around a little bit but not to hard. It is actually in Aurora. I saw the add in a sportsman mag and it was stating a boar hunt special was $450 while it lasts.I am not sure how long it was supposed to last but here is the e-mail add for ya.

I recognized your picture from Rick's trophy gallery. I was there a few days before you. My son's picture is 2 pictures before your's. He's the one with the camo rapped around the rifle barrel and his hog weighed 155lbs.

I agree with NJheadhunter71, Rick Grubbs runs Waccacmaw Hunting Services in Hemmingway,S.C.
He runs a true fair chase opperation. It's a 14 hour drive from Poughkeesie,N.Y.
No garrantee, you are at the mercy of the pigs. I's suggest checking out his web site and e-mail or call him.
Tell him Warren recomended him to you.
