i want to ask permission to hunt this piece of property that is across the street from me but i can't figure out who owns it. i've been told to go to the town hall but is there anyway i can do it online? thanks!
i just tried that and i can't find my counties website. i'm in fairfield county. it just keeps giving me links to the town clerk page but it just talks about her accomplishments and stuff.
You may have to personally visit the offices and look it up in a Plat book or other legal, recording documents. Sometimes there is a small fee, but usually not (and the clerks are usually very helpful). Good luck.

Bingo. Go to the town Clerk and give them the address, they will give you a map number. The owners name is on the map.
