they are beautiful but DEADLY.

I wish we could shoot them, they take all my rabbits and pull the guts out of them.

they are BIGGEST killer of rabbits.

back years ago the locals shot everyone of them here in pa.

predators have ruined our rabbit hunting.

owls also kill GROUSE/PHEASANTS.

sproul, they are native to the ARCTIC CIRCLE. When they come down this way its a rarity...

i Don't think SNOWY owls are hurting your rabbit pop.!

other owls ,hawks ...sure. they gotta eat too.

you know what the #1 killer of rabbits is ?............ANTS- swarm the babies in the nest... #2-HOUSECATS

But regardless, i thought it was cool to see such a rare creature , let alone having it ride in the front seat of my Tahoe!

You have n idea what you are talking about. Snowy owls are relatively rare migrants and are not responsible for the decline in any of our game animals. The resident great horned owl has a much greater impact on game species than the migrant snowy owl.

Spoulman may have a point. I hear there is a growing population in 2G. They may have gone from killing rabbits to killing all those 60 pound does in that zone. No wonder there aren't any deer there. The habitat is fine, just too many snowy owls!!!

i always thought a owl is owl..

i had 14 rabbits killed by owls last winter[:@]

i have 8 owls in my area.

did you know they mate in feb?

how do i know, WELL, THEY KEEP ME UP FOR 2 DAYS WHEN THEY DO IT,HOOOO,HOOOOOO,HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO[:@]

i just like my rabbits more than a killer owl.

i also shot 2 fox last week, now they are gone too.

if i would not go to jail, i would shoot those owls too.

years ago, everyone shot them as they were killers.

i agree, that white owl is nice and if it does not sit there in dark and kill rabbits, grouse, i am for it..
