Default crazy rut this year or what??

where i hunt in massachusetts, there isn't that many rubs or scrapes, compared to last year. the bucks are there ive got quite a few pictures. they dont seem to be chasing, the doesare still in there own groups. AND NO ACORNS. the scrapes that i have were opened once and that was it, last year they were checking them regularly. has anybody seen this in there areas, and where are you from?

I had very little daytime movement, here in s. NY, during the 1st couple weeks, but plenty of sign and acorns.

On the 11th (last tues) the floodgates opened , had deer all around me, and I filled my archery buck tag.

What Rut ??
2 of us have hunted the 8th-14th (everyday), have seen NO rutting activity.
Only the usual does feeding sunup and sun down.

Here in maine, I have seen the same thing as well. I am not sure if it is because of coyotes or moose driving them around. They will make a scrape and not be back for 5 or 6 days. It is hard to catch them in the same scrape as the just keep moving around so much. They also do not appear to be attracted to any scents either.. I did find a couple of rubs to go with the scrapes though.
