well the first day of my week of hunting in NJ was COLD!!! i was not
dressed for the temp...im still in west palm beach mode after spending
the last year there. well, i get in and POP up my ground blind. all of the
brush that i had used to brush it in was still there so i did tht. i have become
very good at brushing the blind...i leave just a small window in the front
to shoot out of...no side and only a lil back to shoot out of.
i get in the blind and im getting things together...bow..binos..and i look up and a
seven pointer in 20yrds...ive been in the blind 4mins??? wtf?? so i look him over
and decide...nope! not enough antler..and i have time...i see deer chasing does
in the distant..the 7 was chasing does too. he went away...4does came in
and he appeared and chased them around. i saw 3 bucks tonight..8 does.
i will be back at it in the morning...dressed warmer

i had does coming to me..and each time..i was like..a buck has to be trailing...
im going to drag a rag tuesday

out again today...2 does come in, but that was it...i was actually shocked...no chasing that
i could see. i will hunt it again wed and if nothing shows..im movning the blind to the back
end of where i am hunting....seems to be a million tracks down there..i think it might b a
major bedding area

I used a drag rag last week and it stopped an eight pointer. It got him all jacked up. He was a youngin though and will be a great shooter in a couple years.

Today, Saturday is too rainy and warm. I'm hoping to get out during the week when it has significantly cooled down. I think it mayget crazy with this cold front coming in.
